The Corrigan series was a late addition to the fleet, with more modern weapons and upgrades, chief of were the safety lock-outs to cyber-attacks by the enemy. The cruisers are the work horses of the fleet with great firepower and plenty of fighters. The port and starboard recovery bays lead directly to the hanger where crews can fuel and reload their ammo. Because there are no hangers outside the body to retract, these ships can jump in and out of a sector within a short time with their advanced drives that do not require lead time to "spool-up."
